A little bit of everything Sandviken

Göransson Cup; with a crash, bang, boom we landed in Sandviken and made the first match by the skin-of-our-teeth; accidents (not us) on the highway, snow, optimistic luggage expectations for some and forgotten shoes/clubs made for an exciting start. With a loss (Ersmarks), a win (Valbo) and a draw (Vallentuna) we made it to the A-Slutspel on Sunday morning. We didn't really find our rhythm this weekend; somewhere between OK and Fun with some familiar themes to work on. We have all the right ingredients to make something fabulous but we're a veritable work-in-progress which is just-as-it-should-be.
That said, it was a fun weekend (I enjoyed it) with some cool folks and some old-school games (yes we managed to get the girls to lay off their mobiles ); all helped by the fact that 17 girls and 5 adults were squished into one förskola classroom with one-and-a-half toilets (yes we managed) and boxes of wooden byggstavar to build sky-high towers. There were countless rounds of Mafia; Jina and India managed to "kill" everyone successfully. The girls managed to squeeze in one shower on Saturday night so that brightened things up considerably. It was early to bed on Saturday ahead of an 08h40 match against Sandviken which was relatively even until an unlucky bounce went in and we ended on 2-0.
My throat is sore from so much "heja klacking" along with my fellow klackers Ola and Fredrik who kept the supply of coffee and good cheer flowing throughout the weekend and to Kalle, Anders, Johan and Matthias for their wit- and- grit coaching. We're on the right road with these fantastic girls; you cannot improve one thing by 1000% but you can improve 1000 little things by 1%.
