Världens snällaste lag - yes really

Check! Örebro Cup done and dusted for this year. We had 2 teams in 2 tough groups and went to a-slutspel and b-semi-final respectively. 24 players, 9 matches, 21 goals and 109 video clips; Sportswik reporting chowed up my battery somewhat. There was a real mix of games, frustrating, tight, even, high-paced and down to the wire, we certainly spiced it up in Örebro.
This is a team that takes what comes at face value; we celebrate our wins and don't dwell too long on our "might have beens". As John Wooden once said "If you are not making mistakes, then you're not doing anything. I'm positive that a doer makes mistakes".
After the games on Friday evening we headed back to our vandrarhem where we all managed to find a comfy bed for the night albeit with an interesting soundtrack; late night arrivals (yes the thought of 24 innebandy players clearly didn't put anyone off), snoring, sleep talking, car alarms and bunkbeds that squeaked with every move we made it through the night to discover several vandalised cars (one of which was ours) on the main street. Not quite the spice we were looking for :-)
Lunch options on Saturday were extreme; lag svart headed to Svampen for a lunch buffet with a drop dead view and lag vit ended up in a rather empty Kumla "town centre" feeling like we'd been dropped into a Stephen King movie.
Anyway, I'll leave the "deeper dig" to our fantastic coaches who've coached, cajoled, pushed and developed our team not just at "getting better" but at building a team that really are the "Världens snällaste lag".
Thanks for another lovely memory!
