it wasn't all black and white - F06 Gribby

We had no matches this weekend, instead we got to travel to Huddinge on a Monday evening which turned out to be a great start to the week.  A 4-2 win over the very talented Huddinge. 

It was one of those games that could have gone either way with the tension building right to the end.  Our first goal came from Oliva which was delivered to her by Perla (in goal) at the 4 minute mark.  We moved up at 12 minutes to 2-0 with a goal from Selma, assisted by Frida and then Frida again early in the 2nd period, assisted by India. Oliva, assisted by Matilde,  then popped in another at 14 minutes in the 3rd.   We played consistently and we played as a team, creating a steady flow of chances.    If that sounded easy, it wasn't;  it was a physical game, a veritable tug-of-war and we could feel the frustration on the other side (we know how that feels).  We managed to keep our cool (mostly) and not get wound up or sucked into their frustration.  That is something we have learned although I'm not sure we can put that all down to the mental strength training we did last season but I live in hope that @JennyHagman's work is paying off.   Even the hardest of tackles did not get anyone down, it was a case of pick yourself up and keep playing.     So we picked ourselves up and played our hearts out to the final whistle, as a team.

A  huge thank you to Frida, Oliva and Ella G from Skarpäng who stepped in to help us today .  They had to swiftly adapt to a different spelsystem with a crash course in the changing room "a la Thor" .   We are on the right track and we're taking it one game at a time and it is fun; we have Micke, Thor and Mathias cajoling us as we improve every element of our game by hook-or-by-crook.
